As a Montenegrin local and a tour guide I’ve had a chance to visit end explore almost every corner of my country.
One of those places made a great impact on me, by its beauty, colors and its photogenicity. :) Lukavica Mountain really likes to be photographed, so for all photography lovers this will be enjoyable trekking experience.
I you ever choose to visit, mountain is approx. half an hour drive from Niksic. From the beginning of the trail it takes around one and a half hour (maybe a little bit more) to get to the Captain’s Lake (Kapetanovo Jezero). It's always a better experience to hire a local guide, but the tour is also well marked. Just follow the road, it’s impossible to get lost. :)
