Experience diversity of Montenegro, one of the smallest European countries and discover how the eastern and western influences shaped its culture. This tour is also known as Montenegro tour, because for all the travelers to Montenegro this is truly the best way to explore the country in one day. You will see the contrast between rich old towns in the south – Budva and Kotor, influenced by Republic of Venice and Cetinje - old royal capital of Montenegro, the place where in the rigid environment Montenegrin people managed to preserve their tradition, religion and lifestyle.
The tour begins when you are picked up from your accommodation. We than drive towards Cetinje - the old royal capital.
After arriving to Cetinje, we will walk through the historical path of this cozy “city - museum”. We will visit the Cetinje Monastery, pass next to Cipuri church, Njegos palace – Biljarda, King Nicola's castle – today museum, the Presidential Palace and take a walk on the main pedestrian street.
After visiting Cetinje we will drive towards Njegusi, the birthplace of Petar I and Petar II Petrovic Njegos.
At this unusual village in a little valley between the hills, you will taste the traditional products of Montenegro and specialties of this region – prosciutto and cheese made in the village and try famous local honey wine, or as we call it Medovina.
After enjoying these delicious treats we will drive down from the mountains directly to Boka Bay using one of the most famous panoramic roads in the country - Lovcen – Kotor serpentine road.
The road has 25 big switchbacks and beautiful viewpoints over the whole Bay of Kotor that will take your breath away. You can take amazing pictures here that are postcard worthy.
This amazing road brings us to Kotor. Together with its bay, Kotor is protected by UNESCO World Heritage.
We will start the walking tour in the old town visiting the Square of Arms, than continue walking past old palaces of most influential local families, passing by Saint Tryphon Square and Cathedral, Maritime Museum, Square of Saint Luka and so called Cats Square.
After the tour you will have some leisure time to indulge in shopping or tuck into a meal at one of the town’s many restaurants.
If you feel adventurous enough, we can also climb up to Saint Jean fortress to enjoy the most marvelous view of Kotor and the rest of Bay of Kotor!
After enjoyable time in Kotor, we continue our journey by driving towards Budva, the most popular summer destination in Montenegro.
Here we will visit another old town in Montenegrin coast whose architecture was also influenced by Republic of Venice.
We will take a stroll through old town, visit its beautiful churches, squares and citadel and enjoy its winding streets and beautiful marina.
We finish the tour by driving you back to your accommodation.
