The spirit of Bay of Kotor, energy of its people, festivals and carnivals, beautiful sceneries, old churches and palaces made it recognizable among tourists from all over the world. This UNESCO World Heritage Site in one of the places that you must see, while you are in Montenegro. While you are visiting the Bay have a chance to enjoy lunch in local family house, meet the local family and try some of delicious traditional specialties characteristic for this area.
Our guide will meet you in front of the old town Kotor, or on the short walking distance. You will than start old town Kotor walking tour, passing through the cozy streets of this UNESCO Protected World Heritage Site. You will visit the famous Squares of Arms with its Clock tower and palaces. You will stand in front of (or optionally visit) the oldest Catholic Church in Montenegro dedicated to the Saint Tryphon. Other attractions on this short walking tour are the Maritime Square and Orthodox churches such as Saint Luka’s and Nicholas, Cats Squares and other.
Panoramic ride through Bay of Kotor surroundings will take us to Perast - one the best preserved baroque settlements in Mediterranean. After a short walk through the city center, we will take easy 5 minutes boat ride to the manmade island Our Lady of the Rocks famous of its beauty and interesting stories and legend, where we will visit its church and museum and make memorable photos.
After the visit to this charming baroque settlement we will start our journey back towards Kotor, and have a lunch with the local family at their house.
Our host will welcome you to their family home, which is on the short waliking distance from old town Kotor. Have an enjoyable meal with our great and humorous host and learn more about Kotor directly from the locals. Have in mind that, as you are at Adriatic (Mediterranean) coast, most of the traditional food and specialties are based on fish and sea food, but up on your request menu can be made of meat or for vegetarians.
